Without consequence. Failed Payments aka FP. We shudder to type the name. FP is not a sympathetic character. He’s responsible for swiping a percentage point here, a declined card there. Unremarkable on its own but catastrophic at scale. Jonatan Allback had spent 15 years inside the payment operations of Adyen, Amazon, Netflix and Uber. Roderick Simons had built payment infrastructure at Yolt that doesn't flinch under pressure. Together, they were something the African payments landscape had never quite seen. Their first target? Talk360, one of Africa's leading international calling platforms. Six PSP integrations collapsed into one. A 25% uplift in checkout conversion. Revenue FP had been secretly pocketing, returned to its rightful owner. The problem wasn't unique to Talk360. It was endemic. And now there was something built specifically to fight it. That's when NjiaPay stopped being an internal tool and became a full-fledged product. It also marked the beginning of the end for FP's reign of petty terror. Stealth. Speed.
